The procedure of joining ICD ELCAC depends of your status and original christian community.

For communities with Apostolic Succession like Roman Catholic (or any conservative national catholic church with Apostolic Succession), Orthodox, Lutheran or Anglican, joining will be easy. As a pastor or priest, you no need to be re-ordained. Steps for joining is listed below:

  1. Send us your biography and certificate of ordination with documents of religious education
  2. Tell as your story and reason why you want to join ICD ELCAC
  3. Acting bishop will contact you back with his decision and will schedule other steps

For communities from churches without Apostolic Succession, like Lutheran, Episcopal and others who are still following high-church tradition (3 levels of clergy – deacons, priests or pastors, and bishops), will have re-ordination with Apostolic Succession. Steps are the following:

  • Send us your biography and certificate of ordination with documents of religious education
  • Tell as your story and reason why you want to join ICD ELCAC
  • Acting bishop will contact you back with his decision and will schedule other steps
  • As scheduled, you will receive 2-steps Ordination with Apostolic Succession (Firstly, to deaconate then to priesthood)

We also recommend to take short course in our seminary to improve your secular knowledge.

For other communities like evangelican churches or any sects, like Baptist church, Pentecostal, Assembly of God, etc., must follow these steps:

  1. Send us your biography and certificate of ordination with documents of religious education
  2. Tell as your story and reason why you want to join ICD ELCAC
  3. Acting bishop will contact you back with his decision and will schedule other steps
  4. Enroll to our Seminary and pass at least half of it’s course
  5. As scheduled, you will receive 2-steps Ordination with Apostolic Succession (Firstly, to deaconate then to priesthood)

Please note that all cases will be reviewed individually and all steps will be taken for better serving in future.
